Update Aadhaar Card Online - YouTube Video
To update the address on your Aadhaar card , follow these steps:
1. Visit the UIDAI Official Website:
Go to the official website of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) at https://uidai.gov.in/.
2. Click on Update Your Address Online:
On the UIDAI website, find and click on the "Update Your Address Online" link. This will take you to the Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal.
3. Login with Aadhaar:
You will need to log in with your Aadhaar number. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and the security code. You will receive an OTP (One Time Password) on your registered mobile number.
4. OTP Verification:
Enter the OTP you received on your registered mobile number to verify your identity.
5. Data Update Request:
Once you are logged in, you can update your address. You will be asked to provide the necessary documents as proof of your new address. You can use documents like your passport, voter ID, driver's license, utility bills, or bank statements for address proof.
6. Submit the Request:
Upload scanned copies of your address proof documents as per the UIDAI guidelines.
7. Acknowledgment:
After submitting your request, you will receive an acknowledgment containing a URN (Update Request Number). This number can be used to check the status of your update request.
8. Review and Finalize:
Review the data you have provided, and if everything is correct, submit the request.
9. BPO Service Provider Selection:
You can choose the BPO service provider that will verify your details. You can select the one most convenient for you.
10. Final Submission:
After selecting the BPO service provider, click "Submit.
11. Update Status Check:
You can check the status of your update online. You can use the URN to track the status on the UIDAI website.
Please note that you should use your current and accurate residential address when updating your Aadhaar card. Also, ensure that the address proof documents you provide are valid and match the address you want to update.
